Life on the farm isn’t always picture-perfect—but it’s real, raw, and full of lessons I wouldn't trade for anything.Whether it's bottle-feeding calves, loading up kids for a tractor ride, or squeezing in homeschool activities between chores, our days are full of grit and grace.
Today, I’m walking you through a typical day in our life on the Born Farm—from early morning energy drinks (for mom of course) on the porch to chasing toddlers through the muddy puddles outside currently.

Highlights from Our Day:
Early Mornings with a Purpose: I wake up before the kids to get a jump start—usually designing, checking in with client work, or getting digital content organized with a fizz in hand.
Breakfast Time: Around 7:30–8:00, the kids wake up and we start our breakfast routine. Some mornings it’s Arbonne protein waffles or sausage and eggs—quick, hearty, and healthy to fuel our day.
Homeschooling & Hands-On Learning: During mid-morning, we dive into our homeschool rhythm. We might work on a letter of the week, paint shapes, or read outside while the younger ones play in the dirt (or snack on something they've foraged).
Nap Time = Hustle Time: While the little ones nap, I shift back into work mode—designing websites, editing content, or checking off my to-do list in quiet (glorious) peace.
Afternoons on the Move: Post-nap, we either play outside, run errands, or tag along for farm chores with Dad. The kids help feed animals, ride along for crop checks, or just explore nature.
Evenings Together: We eat dinner as a family, then wind down with outdoor play, books, or bubble baths. Once the kids are in bed, I squeeze in another quick work block if needed or just sit outside and enjoy the quiet.
