5 Podcasts That Help Overwhelmed Moms Reset Their Mindset

Motherhood is beautiful, meaningful, and deeply important work.
But it is also mentally heavy. Many moms carry an invisible mental load every single day. Planning meals, managing schedules, remembering appointments, caring for children, keeping a home running, supporting a spouse, and trying to take care of themselves somewhere in the middle of it all.
Even in seasons when life is good, the constant responsibility can feel overwhelming.
What I have realized over time is that one of the biggest influences on how motherhood feels is what we allow into our minds each day. The voices we listen to, the conversations we absorb, and the encouragement we hear all shape our perspective. When our minds are filled with comparison, stress, or constant pressure, motherhood quickly begins to feel exhausting.
But when we intentionally listen to voices that encourage, challenge, and remind us of truth, something shifts. We begin to feel less alone, more grounded, and more capable of handling the season we are in. One of the easiest ways I have found to reset my mindset during motherhood is through podcasts.
Whether I am folding laundry, driving somewhere with the kids, walking outside, or cleaning the kitchen, listening to conversations that bring wisdom and encouragement helps me reset my thinking. These are five podcasts that have been especially helpful for me when motherhood feels overwhelming.
The Happy Hour with Jamie Ivey
The Happy Hour with Jamie Ivey, this podcast feels like sitting around a table with friends having an honest conversation about life, faith, and motherhood.
Hosted by Jamie Ivey, each episode features conversations with guests about everything from parenting and marriage to faith, culture, and personal struggles. The tone is relaxed and authentic, making it feel like you are part of the conversation rather than simply listening to an interview.
What I appreciate most about this podcast is the honesty. The conversations often include real struggles, real questions, and real encouragement. It reminds mothers that they are not the only ones navigating the messy and meaningful parts of life.
The Alli Worthington Show
The Alli Worthington Show, If you are a mom who constantly feels like you are juggling everything, this podcast is incredibly helpful.
Alli Worthington interviews experts and shares practical coaching around topics like faith, mental health, leadership, family life, and personal growth. The show focuses on helping women build lives that work without constant burnout.
Many moms feel like they are just trying to push through exhaustion. This podcast offers a refreshing reminder that life was not meant to be lived in constant survival mode.
The Best of You
The Best of You, The Best of You podcast focuses on emotional health, healing, and personal growth through both psychology and faith.
Hosted by Dr. Alison Cook, the conversations explore topics like boundaries, anxiety, self worth, and healing from past experiences. For mothers carrying emotional weight or feeling mentally exhausted, these conversations can provide clarity and understanding.
Many moms spend so much time caring for others that they forget their own emotional health matters too. This podcast helps bring awareness to that side of life.
Therapy and Theology
Therapy and Theology, This podcast blends faith and mental health in a thoughtful and practical way.
Hosted by licensed therapist Lysa TerKeurst and counselor Jim Cress, the show explores real life struggles while connecting them with biblical truth and emotional health.
Topics often include anxiety, relationships, boundaries, forgiveness, and navigating difficult seasons.
For mothers who want both practical wisdom and spiritual encouragement, this podcast offers a powerful combination of the two.
Don’t Mom Alone
Don't Mom Alone Podcast, One of the most powerful reminders a mother can hear is that she is not alone.
The Don’t Mom Alone podcast exists for exactly that reason. Hosted by Heather MacFadyen, the show connects listeners with experts, mentors, and other moms who share wisdom and encouragement for everyday parenting.
Each episode provides helpful perspectives on parenting, relationships, faith, and personal growth while reminding moms that motherhood was never meant to be done in isolation.
Why What You Listen to Matters
The mental load of motherhood is real. But what we allow into our minds each day can make a significant difference in how we experience it.
When we fill our minds with encouragement, wisdom, and helpful conversations, our perspective begins to shift. We become more patient, more hopeful, and more grounded in the season we are in. Sometimes the most powerful reset is not changing our circumstances but changing the voices we listen to.
Even a short podcast episode while folding laundry or driving to the grocery store can provide the encouragement you need to approach the rest of the day with a different mindset.
A Simple Mindset Reset for Moms
Because the mental load of motherhood is something so many women experience, I created a simple Mom Mindset Reset Workbook. This short workbook helps you pause, reflect, and reset your thinking when life feels overwhelming.
Inside the workbook you will learn how to:
• Identify the thoughts contributing to overwhelm
• Reframe negative thinking patterns
• Process the mental load you are carrying
• Create a simple reset practice you can use during stressful moments
You can download the workbook below and work through it in just a few minutes.
Sometimes the reset we need most does not come from doing more. Sometimes it simply comes from remembering that we were never meant to do motherhood alone.
